Five things to know about Things She Makes

1. It all starts in East London
Every Mini Whirld begins in my East London studio, where I design, print and assemble each piece in small batches, with plenty of attention along the way.

2. The making stays close to home
I don’t use print-on-demand services. Keeping production in the studio means I can see each piece through from artwork to finished gift and check the details as I go.

3. Colour is a big part of the story
My work sits happily within the world of dopamine design — using colour, memory and feeling to bring a little lift to everyday life. I’m fascinated by the way colour, a bit like scent, can suddenly change a mood or take you straight back to a memory.

4. Mini Whirlds are made to be kept
I design each one as a collectable little object rather than something disposable — something to give, keep, fill with memories and come back to long after the original treats have disappeared.

5. It’s a very small studio
Things She Makes is a small independent studio, where everything is made with care, intention and an entirely reasonable amount of tea.
